Attorney Fred Kray, cohost Kris Diaz, and the rest of the PBLNR crew welcome Melissa McDaniel, who produced the beautiful photobook, Pit Bulls & Pit Bull Type Dogs: 82 Dogs the Media Doesn't Want You To Meet. Ms. McDaniel previously authored a book on deaf dogs, and speaks of some of the challenges inherent to owning a deaf dog. For her "pit bull" book she chose a variety of dogs that would have been labeled as a "pit bull" in a shelter. She talks about the dogs she used and offers some tips on getting good dog photos.

We also go over the details of the preliminary injunction hearing in New Llano and hear the good news that Mazzy is  back home and doing well. The judge gave a full, fair hearing to both parties and mandated that until the case was resolved, the plaintiff dog owners would have to put up a "partial pit bull" sign and follow guidelines for dogs grandfathered in under the ban. It is likely that the town will rewrite its dangerous dog laws. You can read more about the case here.

Yvette Van Veen revisits the subject of loose-leash walking. Consistency is the cure, but how can you be consistent when sometimes your dog really needs exercise or if your partner doesn't follow the same rules? Yvette has the answer!
